New Jeep Renegade: confirmation comes at the Paris Motor Show
The second generation of the Renegade is expected by 2030
Key points
The Jeep Renegade is set to return. The news was confirmed at the Paris Motor Show, where the American brand – part of the Stellantis group – has updated its product plan for the European market between now and the end of the decade. The new generation will arrive by 2030 and will bring back to the Jeep range a model that, since its launch in 2014, has sold over 610,000 units in Europe. The announcement was made at the 2026 Mondial de l’Auto, taking place at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles from 12 to 18 October.
New Jeep Renegade by 2030
No details have yet been released regarding the dimensions, platform, powertrains or production plant for the new Renegade. What is certain is that the name will return as part of a European range set to comprise up to six models by 2030, developed using multiple platforms and different powertrains.
Above all, this confirmation adds a name to the strategy announced in recent months. Jeep had in fact announced the arrival of two new B-segment SUVs, provisionally referred to as the ‘Compact B-SUV’ and ‘Large B-SUV’, intended to join the Avenger range. Added to these is the plan to expand into higher segments.
Over 610,000 Renegades sold in Europe
The return of the Renegade is particularly significant on the European market. Launched in 2014, it has been one of the key models in the Jeep range across Europe for years, where it has achieved over 610,000 registrations. “We are confirming our roadmap to 2030, based on capable, compact and electrified vehicles, inspired by the iconic Jeep DNA, such as the Renegade,” said Xavier Peugeot, Head of Jeep Brand Europe. The new generation will form part of a multi-energy strategy. No details have been released regarding the powertrains fitted to the Renegade, whilst every model in the future European range will also be available with an all-wheel-drive version.
Jeep is preparing a range of six models
The Renegade will be one of the key models in a thoroughly revamped range. The Avenger remains the core model; according to Jeep, it has sold nearly 300,000 units since its launch, whilst in the C-segment, the new Compass is the flagship model in the European range.
