Consob: Giorgetti, we’ll look into this this week

According to Comporti, ESMA did what had to be done

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - "We’ll be dealing with this this week." So said Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti at the end of Consob’s annual meeting with the market, chaired this year by Deputy Chair Chiara Mosca, regarding the issue of appointing the commission’s new chair. When questioned by reporters, Giorgetti added: “Last week we dealt with ESMA and did what we had to do”, referring to Italia’s nomination of Consob Commissioner Carlo Comporti. However, the minister declined to specify whether the appointment had gone ahead.
