Consob: 21 websites offering unauthorised financial services taken offline, 13 of which are crypto-related

Over the past 7 years, 1,757 have been blocked by the Commission

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Consob has ordered the blocking of a further 21 websites belonging to unauthorised financial services providers. Specifically, the Commission has ordered the closure of 8 websites that were unlawfully providing investment services and activities relating to financial instruments, and 13 websites that were unlawfully providing services relating to crypto-assets. Since July 2019, when the Authority was granted the power to order the blocking of websites belonging to unauthorised financial intermediaries, a total of 1,757 websites have been blocked. Of these, 217 relate to crypto-asset-related activities.
