The day before yesterday saw the start of the plan for the progressive easing of all the most impactful worksites on the Ligurian motorway network, in view of the Easter holidays and the spring long weekends of 25 April and 1 May, as well as 2 June. In particular, on the sections under Autostrade per l'Italia's responsibility, from 16 April it was decided to stop all work, with the guarantee of at least two lanes open in each direction (A10 and A26), also taking into account the influx of visitors to Genoa, on the occasion of Euroflora 2025 (which will be held in the area of the former Fiera di Genova from 24 April to 4 May).
The agreement was finalised after a meeting between the leaders of the Liguria Region, representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, Anci, the Municipality of Genoa, Anas, and the three concessionaire companies for the relevant sections: Aspi, Autostrada dei Fiori, and Concessioni del Tirreno (the last two are owned by the Astm group, which belongs to the Gavio family).
The agreement, as far as Aspi is concerned, envisages, among other things, the definitive removal of the permanent carriageway exchange between Lavagna and Sestri Levante (Santa Giulia, Sant'Anna, Del Fico, San Bernardo and Valle Ragone viaducts).
The Recco Exception
.So, last Wednesday was the day of the work-site stop, thanks to which users can now travel on all sections, using at least two lanes in each direction; but even with the resumption of work on 6 May, Aspi has ensured that work will stop on all weekends, from Friday at 2pm to Monday morning at 12pm, with a further work-site dismantling phase from 29 May to 3 June.
Until 17 May, however, the exception is the construction site between Recco and Genova Nervi, which will remain active on weekends, but with a device to guarantee two lanes in the prevailing traffic direction.
