Car incentives revolution: the new decree also facilitates company cars and those of professionals. The previous Dpcm of 6 April 2022, on the other hand, allowed access to subsidies only for the cars of natural persons and hirers. Basically, companies (other than hirers), sole proprietorships and professionals were out. For natural persons, the subsidy was only available as private individuals.
With the new incentives, on the other hand, natural persons carrying out business, art and profession activities, as well as joint-stock companies, with the exclusion of car dealerships, can access contributions for brand new cars (registered in Italy as M1 category vehicles), homologated in a class not lower than Euro 6 and with CO2 emissions up to 20 g/km and a maximum price of 35 thousand euro (if emissions are 0-20 g/km) or 45 thousand euro (if emissions are 21-60 g/km), plus VAT.
Therefore, by opting for cars in the lowest emission bracket and thus targeting electric cars and the few plug-in hybrids with these requirements (see some Toyota cars) you can obtain a basic contribution of 6 thousand euro, while targeting plug-in hybrids in the 21-60 g/km bracket, the expected contribution is 4 thousand euro. Higher amounts if you scrap.
In addition, with regard to commercial vehicles, small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in the business of transporting goods on their own account or on behalf of third parties that purchase, also on a leasing basis, and register in Italy, new vehicles of category N1 and N2, are granted a differentiated contribution based on the total mass on the ground and the fuel used in the vehicle, in some cases with compulsory scrapping. Beneficiary companies will have to declare that they are SMEs within the meaning of the Community regulations in force, and that they are in possession of a licence to carry out the activity of transporting goods on their own account (with vehicles having a total weight on the ground of more than 6t) or that they are registered in the National Register of Road Hauliers and in the Ren.
