The Coopservice Vigilance Institute is hiring 200 armed security guards to work for an important public body with several locations in the centre dia Rome. The appointment with the recruiting day is for Tuesday 17 September from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Coopservice headquarters in Marghera 32, also in the capital.
Istituto di Vigilanza Coopservice (Ivc) is part of the Coopservice Group, a leading provider of cleaning and sanitation services, private security, logistics and removals, property management and energy efficiency with a turnover of more than one billion and more than 20,000 employees.
The business plan of Istituto di Vigilanza Coopservice foresees significant growth by 2026: in order to cope with business development, the company thus plans to hire a total of 750 employees in the world of security and private security (armed guards, security auxiliaries, installers and maintenance technicians) within the next six months, through recruitment days in various Italian cities. The new hires will be added to the almost 3,700 employees currently employed.
There are 1,501 private security companies operating in Italy, employing a total of 104,000 people. Of these, 447 are registered with the Ministry of the Interior and their total turnover is estimated at approximately 3.6 billion. More than 86% are corporations while 7.7% are cooperatives. Small enterprises (10-49 employees) account for 42.8% of the total companies surveyed by the Ministry, but the distribution of turnover is almost entirely dominated by medium and large enterprises, which together produce over 93% of the total turnover.
According to ISTAT data, in 2022 there were 346 active security and investigation service companies in Lazio with a total of 21,153 employees. Rome ranked first at the regional level with 20,457 employees for 287 companies, followed by Frosinone 333 employees for 15 companies, Viterbo 225 employees for 10 companies, Latina 134 employees for 29 companies and, finally, Rieti 4 employees for 5 companies. Lazio is the second region in terms of the number of people employed in the sector, 22% nationally, and the third region in terms of the number of enterprises (54 and 12.1% of the total), preceded only by Puglia (15.2%) and Campania (13.2%).
