Cosnova strengthens its presence in Italy

Cosnova Italia continues to consolidate its position in the colour cosmetics sector. According to Nielsen MAT Q2 2025 data, the company confirms its leadership in volume and reaches third place in value in the mass market channel with the essence and Catrice brands.

"In the first half of 2025 we recorded results in line with expectations," says Veronica Barbetti, commercial director of Cosnova Italia. "The expansion of the range and a more widespread distribution allowed us to consolidate our presence in the territory. In May 2025, the exhibition space grew by 35% compared to the previous year'.

Expansion has followed a dual path: strengthening in Northern Italy, in partnership with Dmo/Caddy's, and extending to the South with Acqua&Sapone and Ovs. On the digital front, the partnership with Pinalli has strengthened e-commerce coverage, an increasingly strategic channel.

For the second half of the year, projects and initiatives for brand positioning at the point of sale are in the pipeline.

"With essence we have launched a wide-ranging project: the complete renovation of the display, which represents one of the central elements of our in-store communication, with the aim of enhancing the shopping experience to the utmost," continues Veronica Barbetti. "As far as Catrice is concerned, we have developed a new version of the Table Display exclusively for Italy, a horizontal display solution that stems from careful listening to the needs of our retailers and the specificities of the national distribution context. This will be flanked by the Beauty Bar Display, an elegant, versatile and space-saving module capable of maintaining a strong visual impact consistent with the brand's premium identity".

He concludes: 'The second half of the year will be full of initiatives. Among the key moments will be the participation in Milan Beauty Week, where essence and Catrice will be protagonists, thanks also to the collaboration with Ovs, with an immersive experience dedicated to the launch of the AW 2025-26 collections".
