Council of Ministers, green light for Ukraine decree. No date for referendum
However, the date of the referendum on Justice was not discussed in the last BoD at Palazzo Chigi
Key points
In the last Council of Ministers of the year, which began at around 3pm and ended less than an hour later, the decree 'urgent provisions for the extension of the authorisation for the transfer of military means, materials and equipment in favour of the government authorities of Ukraine, for the renewal of residence permits held by Ukrainian citizens, as well as for the safety of freelance journalists' was immediately approved.
League 'satisfied'
There is satisfaction, said the League, 'because our suggestions have been taken on board and priority has been given to defensive, logistical and medical means to help the Ukrainian civilian population, rather than anything else'.
The leader Matteo Salvini was not present at the CDM. Not a polemical absence, explained deputy prime minister Antonio Tajani, 'the ministers of the League were there'.
