Crans-Montana, Rome prosecutors will have access to investigation documents

The Valais public prosecutor's office has granted judicial assistance to Italy in connection with the tragedy in Crans-Montana. This was stated by a spokeswoman of the Federal Office of Justice (FOJ), the competent authority in the matter, over the microphones of SRF Radio.

The FOJ states that it was informed today that the public prosecutor's office of the Canton of Valais followed up on the letter rogatory submitted by the public prosecutor's office in Rome.

Concretely, the Italian authorities will have access to the evidence already collected. This will be done in compliance with the statutory rights of the parties potentially affected by the mutual legal assistance measures.
