Crotone, Guardia di Finanza discovers two unauthorised beauty centres: owners denounced
The two illegal centres run by foreigners were in poor sanitary conditions. According to the investigations of the Fiamme Gialle, the treatments were also sponsored on social media
The Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza in Crotone identified two unauthorised aesthetic medicine activities. The centres were run by two Ukrainian women who allegedly performed medical cosmetic surgery services without possessing the qualifications to do so.
Sponsored centres on social
The abusive clinics were identified by monitoring the main social platforms, where the treatments of the two reported centres were sponsored. But the financiers were also suspicious of the abnormal flow of clients in front of the premises.
The treatments
The subsequent cross-referencing of the multimedia content published online, the social contacts and the evidence collected on the spot allowed the Forensic Police to reconstruct the dense network of customers used to frequent the two irregular centres. Access to the database also revealed that the two women were practising the medical profession without the necessary licences.
Investigations revealed how the two women advertised highly invasive beauty treatments on their Instagram profiles, such as subcutaneous injections of botulinum and hyaluronic acid of dubious origin, which by law can only be performed by a specialised surgeon.
Precarious sanitary conditions
Clients were received in specially designated premises or private homes which, although equipped with professional beds and equipment, appeared to be in poor sanitary conditions and completely lacking the life-saving devices necessary to deal with any medical complications, thus exposing patients to serious health hazards.
