Strength, ENDURANCE AND BALANCE
The boutique fitness concept is also growing in Italia: elegant and well-maintained spaces offer exclusive experiences compared to classic training in traditional gyms, with annual subscription formulas, number-of-entries packages or the targeted option of private lessons. With this in mind, Bootiful Studio, the first centre in Italia dedicated to the certified Lagree method, operates in Milan: high-intensity, yet low-impact work sessions using the Megaformer, a patented machine with spring resistance. Slow, controlled movements stimulate muscle groups in depth, minimising the impact on joints. In 45 minutes, strength, endurance and balance are worked on. Classes are open to everyone, including people recovering from minor injuries, and work is done safely, so much so that no medical examination is required because this is low-impact work, not postural or stretching, but muscle strengthening and definition. Each member chooses the trainer who best reflects his or her style and continues the course with him or her. The workout is always reviewed and updated in terms of sequences, type and intensity (40 euros per lesson, special packages at bootifulstudio.com).
SCIENTIFICALLY MEASURED TRAINING
A new generation approach: customised, interactive and guided, like that reserved for athletes. The Milan-based Ydun is not a traditional fitness centre: each phase - diagnostics, training, recovery - is built around the person, his or her starting point and the goals to be achieved, also considering lifestyle and recovery time. In the initial check-up, essential parameters are measured - sixteen of them, including mobility, neuromuscular efficiency, functional asymmetries, and quality of movement under load: these are used to create a customised path. Added to this is the use of advanced machines, equipped with sensors that, by detecting force, speed, power and control in real time while performing the exercise, automatically adapt resistance. All data that comes in handy to monitor progress and upgrade the workout plan. But the technology does not replace coaching: each session is led by a personal trainer who is dedicated to a maximum of three people, precisely to ensure continuous tutoring and timely corrections, reducing the risk of injury. Thanks to all these features, each training session lasts only half an hour: you work for less time, but with greater intensity and precision (from 280 euros per month with 4 training sessions with a personal trainer, 4 entrances in the sauna and cold bath, a complete check-up and 5 progress labs per year to measure progress, ydun.life).
