Cybersecurity, Cy4Gate spa governance strengthened: Enrico Peruzzi joins. Focus on Defence and Space

Cy4Gate strengthens governance to better seize the opportunities of the growing cyber market in both the defence and corporate sectors. Enrico Peruzzi, wanted by the majority shareholders Elettronica Spa and Tec Cyber, joins the cybersecurity spa listed on the Euronext Star segment of Piazza Affari. A manager with experience in Leonardo and the M&A world, Peruzzi will support CEO Emanuele Galtieri in the company's new growth phase.

Outgoing Chairwoman Domitilla Benigni (Ceo of Elettronica Spa) remains on the board and as Chairwoman of the Strategic Committee to best express synergies and convergences created by the defence market.

With the operative presidency entrusted to Peruzzi, a new phase opens, in continuity with the cycle led by Galtieri that made the spa an excellence in the cyber world, also thanks to the acquisitions of Rcs, Diateam and Xtn between 2022 and 2024.

Technological identity remains the pivot: solutions developed in-house with proprietary algorithms, a workforce 70% of which is made up of engineers and cyber specialists. A model designed to armour the supply chain and defend digital sovereignty in the areas of forensic intelligence (typical government use and intended for police forces for the prevention and repression of serious crimes), decision intelligence (or digital transformation, to meet the needs of potential governmental and non-governmental customers, in order to make big data analysis and data fusion activities more effective and efficient and constitute a valid tool to support decision makers) and cybersecurity (to secure institutional or corporate assets from potential hostile activities on the network).

Strengthened governance

The objective of reinforced governance is articulated on four basic points:

1. streamlining the technology roadmap, continuing the scouting for new cutting-edge technologies to support the industrial plan, and continuing the ongoing R&D investments;

2. complete the complex process of integrating the companies acquired in recent years, making the most of synergies;

3. increase its positioning in the Space and Defence markets in line with the current geopolitical and market environment (in Rediness 2023, cyber is identified as a capacitive gap to which substantial funding will be allocated);

4. support the company's internationalisation process even more;

The new president with operational powers

A manager with extensive experience in finance, strategy, M&A and industrial development, Peruzzi held senior roles at Leonardo, contributing to the definition and implementation of the 2024-2028 industrial plan. He has led M&A operations, the creation of JVs. In the past he managed the restructuring of divisions and the exploitation of opportunities related to the Pnrr and the National Strategic Pole. Previous positions at Telespazio (Cfo) and in consulting companies (Deloitte, Arthur Andersen). The entrepreneurial phase now opens for him.
