There is also cosmetics among the sectors to have received recognition in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award: Davide Bollati, president of the Davines Group, received the Sustainable Business Model award "for driving the company towards a holistic growth approach that considers the impact on the environment, communities and stakeholders, putting ethics and sustainability at the heart of decisions as key factors in the success of its business".
Giovanna Vitelli, President of Azimut-Benetti received the most important award as national winner 'for having been able to direct the company, not only to growth in size and profitability, but also for having inspired technological changes, projects focused on sustainability, employee welfare and corporate social responsibility'.
Now in its 27th edition, the award is reserved for Italian entrepreneurs at the helm of companies with a turnover of at least €40 million who have succeeded in renewing themselves by making a significant contribution to the economic, environmental and social growth of the country, demonstrating unprecedented capacities for transformation, innovation and commitment to sustainability in a period characterised by major challenges and continuous change. This spirit is also reflected in EY's new rebranding strategy called 'All In', which aims to consolidate growth through investments in technology transformation, sustainability and managed services, while continuing to provide high quality audit services. The strategy is summarised in a new tagline 'Shape the future with confidence', which reinforces, deepens and defines how EY continues to realise its purpose 'Building a better working world'.
The other six winners - in addition to Bollati - are: Alessandro Zucchetti (Zucchetti) in Family Business; Matteo Storchi (Comer Industries) in Global Growth; Chiara Pertosa (Sitael) in Innovation; Massimo Scagliarini (GVS) in Italian Manufacturing Excellence; Stefano Cappello, Giovanni Cappello and Enrico Noseda (Limenet) for the Startup Award; Paolo De Nadai (WeRoad) for the Scaleup Award. EY Special Mention 'A Century of Excellence' awarded to five companies (Bianchi Industrial, I.CO.P, Molino Spadoni, O.M.S. Saleri, Orsolini Amedeo) whose stories are rooted in over a century of excellence and tradition.
"Thanks to our Award, every year we celebrate the excellence of Italian entrepreneurship, which contributes to driving the economic, social and environmental development of the country," says Massimo Meloni, EY Italy Private Leader and Italy Audit & Assurance Market Leader. "I am proud to announce the winners of the different categories, who have demonstrated extraordinary capacity for innovation, commitment to sustainability and strategic vision. Their stories reflect the dynamism and innovative capacity of our entrepreneurial fabric, inspiring future generations. The awards ceremony is the culmination of a journey that, as EY Private, we started with a Roadshow that toured Italy, highlighting entrepreneurial excellence from the North, passing through the Centre and then to the South, testifying to our constant commitment to supporting the growth and transformation of businesses".
