DeA Capital Real Estate appoints Emiliano Ranati as its new chief executive
The manager will lead the asset management company through the implementation of the recovery phases. On 22 July, the company submitted its remedial plan to the Bank of Italia; this, together with the business plan, will be one of the priorities over the coming months
DeA Capital Real Estate has appointed Emiliano Ranati as the manager to lead the asset management company. His appointment as general manager and chief executive officer will take effect following the necessary resolutions by the relevant corporate bodies. Ranati has twenty years’ experience in the fields of finance, property, and human resources organisation and management. Since 2024, he has held the role of Chief People & Security Officer at the Acea Group. Prior to that, he was General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of CDP Immobiliare, Head of Group Real Estate Strategic Planning & Initiatives at CDP, and Chief Financial Officer of CDP Real Asset SGR.
Ranati’s appointment forms part of the process of renewing the SGR’s governing bodies and organisational structure – which began with the appointment of Chairman Giancarlo Scotti – who has held office since 22 May – to implement the guidelines set out by the Bank of Italia following the conclusion of its supervisory inspections in December 2025. On 22 July, the company submitted the remedial plan drawn up by the board of directors to the Supervisory Authority. Its implementation, together with the finalisation of the new business plan, will be one of the asset management company’s main priorities in the coming months.
“Emiliano Ranati’s appointment represents more than just a change in management,” said Enrico Drago, Executive Chairman of DeA Capital, at the time of the announcement. “ “It represents a new generation of managers trained at the country’s leading institutions, and he brings an innovative vision that will enable him to lead the company into a new phase of growth.” Chairman Scotti, for his part, said he was convinced that the new CEO’s contribution would be crucial in strengthening DeA Capital Real Estate’s position in the alternative property and infrastructure investment market.
