The ‘Carta dedicata a te 2026’ 500-euro card: lists of beneficiaries are available from today. The first payment will be credited on 1 October

A grant of 500 euros towards essential food shopping, with no need to apply. There are 1,177,597 ‘Dedicata a te’ cards earmarked for families in need for 2026: this figure is stated by the INPS in a statement, drawn up in accordance with guidelines from the Ministry of Agriculture.

The credit will be added to the cards on 1 October, and the first purchase must be made by 16 December 2026, otherwise the benefit for this year will be forfeited.
How it works
Compared with the decrees of previous years, the new measure provides for a single list of beneficiaries for 2026 and 2027, valid for both years. The allowance is paid per household and amounts to 500 euros per year. It is paid onto personalised, prepaid and rechargeable electronic cards, provided by Poste Italiane via Postepay or another company within the group. The cards become active once the payment has been credited and can be collected from authorised post offices. Those who have already received a card in previous years will continue to use it, provided they are included on the new lists.
Who is excluded
Households are excluded if, on the date the decree comes into force, they include recipients of the Inclusion Allowance, the Shopping Voucher or any other social inclusion or poverty support measure providing for a national, regional or local authority financial allowance. The allowance is also not payable to households in which at least one member is receiving Naspi, Dis-Coll or redundancy pay.
Responsibility for managing the lists passes to the local councils. Today, 24 September at 2.00 pm, INPS will launch, via the web application dedicated to local authorities, the service for processing the lists of potential beneficiaries who meet the requirements set out in the decree.
