Deloitte continues to grow for the fourteenth year in a row and to recruit. The consulting firm, in Italy, ended the fiscal year (May 2024-May 2025) with a turnover of more than €1.68 billion, up 11 per cent on the previous one. "In an increasingly complex and changing world, Deloitte Italy continues to improve its results, growing at a higher rate than the global average," says Fabio Pompei, ceo of Deloitte Italy since 2019, since when growth has been consistently in double figures. Business is growing and so are the workers, after the 3,500 hires in the recently closed fiscal year that brought to 14 thousand workers in the 24 offices in Italy, of which 6,500 in Milan, over 2,800 in Rome and more than 2,000 in Bari. The prospects, as the numbers tell us, are for further expansion if it is true that for this fiscal year (which will close in May 2026) Deloitte is preparing to select another 3,000 people to broaden the perimeter, encourage generational turnover, and bring in new skills, especially in Ai.

The development of Ai

.

Among other things, what is behind us has been an important year for investments and the evolution of Solaria, the proprietary artificial intelligence platform, and for the inauguration of the Solaria Spaces in Rome and Milan, with which 'we have bet on the potential of artificial intelligence as a lever for the development of the country's system and an opportunity to close the gap in terms of innovation compared to the big global players,' Pompei continues. Italian companies are once again demonstrating extraordinary potential and, in this unprecedented phase of transformation, we want to accompany them by enabling their sustainable and inclusive growth. By combining our deep knowledge of the Italian market with the expertise and cross-border collaboration of an international network, we want to continue to generate a positive impact for our clients, our people and society as a whole'.

The new locations: Milan, Rome and Bari

Reasoning in terms of the past fiscal year's budget, Solaria, the proprietary artificial intelligence platform, is an investment that is part of Deloitte's global Ai strategy, which envisages investments of over three billion dollars by 2030. The Solaria Spaces in Milan and Rome are hubs entirely dedicated to Generative Artificial Intelligence where companies, public administrations and start-ups can experiment with GenAI-enabled solutions. Deloitte Italia has also consolidated its commitment to GenAI with the expansion of the Centre of Excellence for GenAI. Deloitte in Bari: 2,000 people already hired. The investments, however, did not only concern Rome and Milan, but also Bari, where the new office was inaugurated in the pavilions of the Fiera del Levante, where more than 2 thousand people have already been hired. Deloitte's new office in the Apulian capital was set up with the ambition of becoming an innovation hub to accompany Italian and southern Italian companies in the challenge of digital and technological transition.

The Digita Academy in Naples

While new offices have been opened in Milan, Rome and Bari, the expansion of training continues in Naples. In the capital of Campania, Deloitte employs almost 750 professionals and recently celebrated eight years of Digita Academy, the training course created with the Federico II University that has involved more than 600 young graduates who were then hired either by Deloitte or by the project's partner companies.

Unity for Multilateral Contexts

.

Moreover, in the last fiscal year, building on the experience gained as Knowledge Partner in the B20, B7 and W7 multilateral contexts, and in light of the latest important changes in the geopolitical context and the epochal challenges in the socio-economic sphere, Deloitte launched the new Public Policy & Stakeholder Relations (PP&SR) Centre: an innovative and unique structure in the professional services scenario. The Centre aims to provide analysis and scientific content on strategic issues on the Italian and European agendas, promoting a structured dialogue between institutions, businesses and civil society for the definition of shared actions and policies. Among the first projects realised: the organisation of a side-event of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025, in collaboration with Confindustria; the collaboration with the Dicastero per il Servizio dello Sviluppo Umano Integrale della Santa Sede; the support to ISPI, Università Bocconi and OECD for the NEXT 2025 Forum; the partnership with UN Women Italia; and the San Bartolomeo Project - promoted together with the Tiberina - Gemelli Isola Hospital and the Community of Sant'Egidio.

Enhanced training

.

Deloitte's investment in the training of its people in the last fiscal year resulted in more than 650,000 hours of training and the expansion of participation in courses at Deloitte University EMEA, located in France (Val d'Europe, Paris) and involving more than 1,600 participants from the Italian network, with the aim of providing young talent with an international, flexible and inclusive environment. Next fiscal year, the focus on training will be further strengthened, with a reinforcement of all training paths.
