She allegedly blackmailed him by threatening to reveal everything to his wife: that is why he killed her. This is the confession of the man detained for the murder of Maria Denisa Adas Paun, the 30-year-old escort who disappeared from Prato on the night between 15 and 16 May, whose body was found by investigators yesterday, Tuesday 4 June, in an abandoned farmhouse in Montecatini.
According to the confession of the suspect, Vasile Frumuzache, a 32-year-old security guard of Romanian origin, the victim of the feminicide allegedly demanded a payment of 10,000 euro to keep their relationship secret. This was reported by the Prato Public Prosecutor's Office.
The confessed offender said he strangled Denisa in the room of the Prato residence, then decapitated her and put her head in a rubbish bag that he put in the victim's suitcase with the rest of the body, loading everything into the boot of his car. The man also admitted that he tried to burn the head and one of the suitcases used for transport, with burning petrol and wood in the garden of his house.
The Prato Public Prosecutor's Office has issued an arrest warrant for the girl's compatriot, a resident of Monsummano Terme: he is charged with voluntary manslaughter and suppression of a corpse.
The investigators subjected him to a lengthy interrogation in the late afternoon of 4 June that continued into the evening. Thanks to the available camera images, the results of phone records, the positioning tracks of the Volkswagen Golf he had been using, and a lot of work in matching and cross-referencing data, the carabinieri patiently arrived at him and the location where Denisa's remains were later found.
