Design Week 2026, Milan the automotive capital for a week

At the Milan Design Week 2026, scheduled from 20 to 26 April, the automotive world takes the stage with an increasingly central and transversal presence, confirming the role of the automobile not only as a means of transport but as a cultural, technological and design object capable of interpreting the changes in contemporary society.
Among installations, visionary concepts and collaborations with internationally renowned architects and designers, the car manufacturers transform showrooms and urban spaces into real creative laboratories where sustainability, innovation and digitalisation merge into engaging experiences for the public. The participation of leading brands such as Audi, Cupra, Skoda, Fiat, Hyundai, Kia, Italdesign, Lotus, Mini, Pininfarina, Bmw, Lexus, Toyota, Mazda, Geely, Pirelli, Renault, Range Rover, Zeekr and Alcantara is confirmed.
The absolute protagonist is electric mobility, recounted through futuristic lines, recycled materials and design solutions that put the human being at the centre, redefining the concept of the passenger compartment as a connected and customisable space. Alongside this, the theme of artificial intelligence applied to driving and man-machine interaction emerges strongly, with increasingly intuitive interfaces and systems capable of learning from users' habits, anticipating their needs and desires.
There is also no shortage of references to tradition, with contemporary reinterpretations of iconic models that dialogue with the past while looking to the future, testifying to a sector that evolves without forgetting its roots.
