Strike in the night at the Dhl headquarters in Monticelli d'Ongina, in the province of Piacenza. An organised gang of thieves took away from the trucks and the warehouse technological material to a considerable value - not yet quantified but it would be around one million euro - after having broken into the company's yard with weapons. The 'team' entered the yard, breaking through the bars and holding the guards at gunpoint at the entrance, while other accomplices started taking the goods: mobile phones, tablets and computers.
The bandits allegedly placed previously stolen cars and vans sideways along the access roads to the logistics centre and set them on fire to prevent the arrival of the police. Three-pronged nails were also on the ground. The thieves then fled in the direction of Cremona and the motorway.
