Digital competences, start of workshops to bring girls closer to Stem subjects
It starts with secondary schools in Lombardy. The aim is to extend the project to the whole boot.
Assintel on the front line in schools to increase girls' adherence to Stem disciplines. Confcommercio's National Association of ICT Companies has started the groundwork for the "Little Innovators Grow - Stem like Me" project, presented this year during Didacta in Florence.
L’iniziativa
The initiative, developed as part of the Innovation Women 2030 working group, is part of Assintel's broader commitment to promoting inclusion and digital skills, in collaboration with schools, families and institutions in the region. It starts with a series of workshops dedicated to students in Lombardy's secondary schools, but the aim is to extend the project to the whole of Italy.
Digitalising the Country
This is why Assintel, with its president Paola Generali, is launching an appeal: "Our goal is to ensure that every girl can naturally say: 'I want to be a scientist, an engineer, an astronaut', and that the school system and society accompany her along this path of growth and awareness. This is why I am appealing to the headmasters and professors of all secondary schools in Lombardy, and throughout Italy: join in en masse, for the future of our girls and for the true digitalisation of our country'.
