After a long illness, Roberto Sarti, a visionary entrepreneur who dedicated his life and commitment to growing that company, Lanificio Sarti, founded by his father Faliero in 1949, and which over the years has become a reference point and a centre of excellence in the textile sector, has passed away.
"Roberto was an example of professionalism and passion, always attentive and listening both to his Tuscan reality - from Prato to Campi Bisenzio - with the many activities supporting the territory, and to the new ideas supporting the company," reads a note from the company. "He encouraged and supported his children who decided to continue the family business, up to the creation, by his daughter Monica, of Faliero Sarti, which inherited the textile tradition, transforming it into those scarves and foulards that everyone knows and that have made the brand famous and in great expansion.
