Disney cuts references to gender identity from Pixar's 'Win or Lose' series to be presented in February 2025.
Variety' reports this, specifying that the series was originally intended to feature a transgender storyline.'Win or lose' - writes the media outlet - tells the stories of a mixed middle school softball team as they prepare for the championship game.
Each episode follows a different character and focuses on various perspectives including 'insecure kids, their parents, even a lovesick referee', but one trans perspective will no longer be highlighted.

.A source explained to Variety, in fact, that references to the gender identity of one of the characters were removed, affecting a few lines of dialogue in later episodes of the series, although it seems that there was no full episode devoted to the topic.
"When it comes to content for a younger audience, we think many parents prefer to discuss certain topics with their children on their own terms and timelines," said a Disney spokesperson. Win or Lose is Pixar's first long-running series and is written, directed and produced by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates. David Lally is the producer.
