DPB: focus on safeguarding purchasing power, with particular attention to the most vulnerable households
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - In the current context, and in line with the guidelines approved by Parliament during its examination of the Dpfp and the Report on the Deviation, “the Government is placing the protection of households’ purchasing power at the heart of its budgetary policy, with particular attention to the most vulnerable households, as well as support for businesses and investment.”
In particular, safeguarding purchasing power forms part of a broader strategy aimed at strengthening the economy’s growth potential, in line with
"the measures already taken by the Government, whilst safeguarding the sustainability of public finances". This is stated in the Draft Budgetary Plan (DBP) which sets out the framework for the Budget Bill.
