Drones over Copenhagen airport: closed airport

Copenhagen Airport was temporarily closed following the detection of several suspicious drones flying over the airport. This was reported by Danish media, citing the local police. Flights departing from Copenhagen Airport were suspended as of 8.26pm local time.

Some flights that were supposed to land at Copenhagen airport were diverted to other airports in the country. This was reported by a spokesman to the local press, who also reported the formation of queues of passengers who were stranded as a result of the closure. More than 35 flights to Copenhagen Airport were diverted to other airports due to the drone situation. Malmö, Billund, Aarhus and Gothenburg received the most flights.
