Ducati: Urso says the company is ready to use every means at its disposal to protect its interests

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - “We are ready to use every means at our disposal to protect this symbol of ‘Made in Italy’, which is synonymous with Motor Valley.” Adolfo Urso, Minister for Enterprise and ‘Made in Italy’, wrote this on X regarding Ducati, the Italian motorbike manufacturer owned by the Volkswagen Group, which may be sold off by the German carmaker. “I have made this abundantly clear from the outset, and I reiterate it here with determination, in the presence of those who, day in, day out, are the driving force behind an extraordinary product that the world envies us for,” added Urso. “Ducati is not just a great technological and sporting success, of which we are all proud, as demonstrated by the presence here today, alongside the workers, of the entire ‘Sistema Italia’, united in pursuing a common goal. Ducati is not just beautiful, powerful and fast: it embodies identity and innovation; it is the Italia that inspires dreams”, Urso emphasised during a meeting with Claudio Domenicali, Ducati’s chief executive, and workers’ representatives, whilst visiting the company’s production site in Borgo Panigale, alongside the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Michele de Pascale, the Mayor of Bologna, Matteo Lepore, and the President of Confindustria, Emanuele Orsini.
