E21: August economic confidence index rises to 98.4 from 97.1 in July

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - The economic confidence index in the eurozone rose to 98.4 in August from 97.1 points in July. This was announced by the European Commission. Signs of improvement are also emerging among consumers and businesses. The business confidence index improved in August, rising to -5.3 from -6.1 in July. The consumer confidence index also improved, rising to -15.5 in August from -15.9 in July.
