ECB: M3 remains unchanged at +3.5 per cent in September; M1 slows to +2.7 per cent

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Growth in the aggregate money supply M3 for September stood at +3.5 per cent, unchanged from August. Expectations had been for +3.6 per cent. The three-month average to September stands at 3.5 per cent. The M1 aggregate, which comprises cash and overnight deposits, slowed to +2.7 per cent in September from +2.9 per cent in August. Total loans to households stood at +3.1 per cent, unchanged from the previous month. The figure for loans to businesses also remained unchanged at 4.2 per cent for the month.
