ECB: The Netherlands officially nominates Klaas Knot for the presidency

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - The Dutch government has announced that it has officially nominated the former governor of the central bank, Klaas Knot, as a candidate to succeed Christine Lagarde as President of the European Central Bank. The former governor of the Dutch central bank is regarded as one of the leading candidates for the post, alongside the former governor of the Spanish central bank, Pablo Hernández de Cos.
