Electrolux: Urso, 21 July – new round-table meeting to review progress -2-
At the same time, work continues within the EU on the white goods sector
, 16 June – “We are therefore working within the working group, and the next meeting will take stock of the progress we have made with the company and social partners over the past few weeks, but also at European level, where we have put forward very specific requests,” the minister continued - "First and foremost, that the sector be considered strategic, just like the automotive industry, so that we can implement a European plan for the white goods supply chain with conditions of reciprocity vis-à-vis those producing outside Europe, a substantial revision of the CBAM, and the inclusion of this sector in the Industrial Accelerator Act." Work in Europe, he added, “must proceed hand in hand” because “only by changing European rules can we make our country’s white goods industry sustainable in the long term”.
