ENAC: inaugurates new terminal at Rome Urbe and launches Regional Air Mobility -2-
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - In this vision, the new Ram (Regional Air Mobility) terminal concept evolves from a transit infrastructure into a gateway to the regions, facilitating new scenarios for air-to-air intermodality. The first example of this network is Rome Urbe Airport, which is set to become the hub for the short-haul network, operating even at night thanks to its floodlit runway and new integrated helicopter-aircraft routes.
“First of all, I would like to thank Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Matteo Salvini for choosing to attend this inauguration, which, under the slogan ‘Level up: the network takes shape’, marks an important moment for the future of civil aviation,” said ENAC President Pierluigi Di Palma.
Marco Trombetti, the sole director of Enac Servizi, added: ““The new passenger terminal at Rome Urbe Airport represents the innovative model that Enac Servizi will promote across its entire network of airport infrastructure: recognisable spaces open to all, capable of accommodating not only passengers but also facilities for the public good, such as educational and outreach activities, and meeting places.”
