Enel, $1 billion deal to acquire solar and wind power plants in the US
Enel, through its wholly-owned subsidiaries Enel Green Power North America and EGPNA Project Holdco 2, has signed agreements with Excelsior Energy Capital to acquire a portfolio of wind and solar power plants, located in the United States, with a total installed capacity of 830 MW and an expected average annual production of approximately 2.1 TWh.
The acquisition of the renewable plant portfolio will take place for a consideration of around USD 1 billion, which will bring a positive contribution to the group's results (ordinary Ebitda) of around EUR 125 million per year when fully operational.
