Enel: €1 billion loan facility with Citi, HSBC and Euler Hermes
First tranche of $580 million for Enel Finance International
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Enel has secured a “multi-borrower, multi-currency” facility from Citi, HSBC and the German export credit agency Euler Hermes, acting as guarantor, for a maximum amount of 1 billion euros. This was announced in a statement by the energy group.

The agreement “is based on the Group’s global commercial relationships with German suppliers and is designed to meet the financial requirements associated with the Enel Group’s sustainable investments relating to a range of purchases and suppliers”.
The facility may be drawn down in either euros or US dollars. An initial tranche of US$580 million (€500 million) has been signed by Enel Finance International,
