Engineering: half-year revenue rises to 845 million
CEO Bisio: ‘Towards drivers of growth and innovation’ – Proceeds from the sales of Alfahealth and IndX to support debt reduction
Engineering’s revenue and profitability improved in the first half of the year, with adjusted EBITDA after Capex rising by 5.3% to 102.8 million, whilst revenue rose by 1.6% to 844.8 million. Adjusted EBITDA, however, remained stable at 119.3 million (-0.8%). The half-year saw positive performance in some of the company’s key markets, with growth particularly in the Public Sector & Municipalities segment (+10%) and in Software Products (+9%).
In June, the Group announced two binding agreements with Accenture for the sale of Alfahealth and IndX Group. The divestments, the company explains, “form part of its strategic transformation programme, aimed at strengthening its focus on core segments, proprietary software products, digitech & consulting, and artificial intelligence”. The latter “continues to be a driver of growth and efficiency”.
The net proceeds from the transactions will be used primarily to reduce debt, with the aim of ‘improving leverage ratios and strengthening the financial profile’.
“The Group ‘continues to be a strategic partner in supporting public and private organisations through high-value digital transformation journeys, in which AI is a driver of growth and innovation’,” explained the chief executive, Aldo Bisio.
