Eni: gas production in Libya set to rise with Noc through the Sabratha Compression project -2-
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - The launch of the Sabratha Compression project, the statement notes, confirms Eni and NOC’s commitment to successfully completing complex offshore developments on schedule, even in challenging environments. The project strengthens the resilience of the country’s gas infrastructure and represents a tangible contribution to the stability and growth of the Libyan energy sector.
Two further strategic projects are also currently underway in the country: the Bouri gas utilisation project, for which connection and commissioning work is currently taking place following the recent installation of the Bouri gas recovery module, and the Structures A&E project, aimed at developing two offshore gas fields.
Eni has been operating in Libya since 1959 and is the leading international operator in the country, with equity production of around 162,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2025 and three development projects currently underway, representing a total investment of around 10 billion dollars.
