Democrats on the House Oversight Committee obtained and released Jeffrey Epstein's birthday album containing the letter sent to the former financier by Donald Trump. US media reported that. "We have the letter to Epstein that Trump said did not exist. It's time for the White House' to put an end to the cover-up of the papers on Epstein, oversight committee deputy Robert Garcia said. Trump in recent weeks has denied writing the letter and made cause to the Wall Street Journaland Rupert Murdoch for publishing it.

The heirs of Jeffrey Epstein handed over a number of documents that had been requested by the House Oversight Committee. Among them, Robert Garcia wrote in a post, was the book that had been set up for the former financier's 50th birthday, containing messages of greetings from various people in his circle. According to an article in the Wall Street Journal, the book also contained a greeting letter signed by Donald Trump with obscene content. The injunction sent to the heirs by the commission demanded, among other things: Epstein's will; any documents resembling a "client list" relating to the sex trafficking allegations against the former financier; any 'black book' containing Epstein's contacts; flight logs of Epstein's plane and other chartered aircraft; and an alleged book of letters from Epstein's friends commemorating his 50th birthday.

The incriminating letter

.

The letter sent to Jeffrey Epstein on his birthday in 2003 and attributed to Donald Trump - who denied any attribution and involvement, calling it a fake - was disclosed, therefore, by some Democratic MPs. The letter is like the one revealed by the Murdoch family's newspaper. The message was contained in the outline of a naked woman drawn with a felt-tip pen, with two arches indicating her breasts and Trump's signature below her waist, indicating her pubic hair. The typewritten text recited an imaginary conversation between Trump and Epstein, written in the third person. 'Voiceover: There must be more to life than having it all,' the text began. "Donald: Yes, there is, but I'm not going to tell you what it is. Jeffrey: Neither am I, because I know what it is. Donald: We have some things in common, Jeffrey. Jeffrey: Come to think of it, we do. Donald: Puzzles never get old, have you noticed that? Jeffrey: In fact, it was so clear to me the last time I saw you. Trump: Having a friend is a wonderful thing.

The White House, however, says that the signature in the birthday greeting letter to Jeffrey Epstein published by the House Oversight Committee 'is not from Donald Trump'. CNN reports.

The NYT: "JP Morgan facilitated Epstein in sex trafficking"

.

JP Morgan, one of the world's largest banks, facilitated the illicit sex trafficking of the late paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein by granting him large and frequent cash withdrawals, opening accounts in the name of victims without proper verification, ignoring internal alerts on suspicious movements, and using him as a business advisor and facilitator. This was revealed by the New York Times in an in-depth investigation by its reporters, who examined more than 13,000 pages of legal and financial documents, including sealed depositions and internal bank records, to understand how America's largest lending institution aided the most notorious sexual predator of the century. Meanwhile, House Speaker Mike Johnson unintentionally casts doubt on Donald Trump's role in the Epstein investigation, retracting his claim that the tycoon was an FBI informant in the affair.

Some elements of the relationship between JP Morgan and Epstein became public, but the true extent of the bank's involvement in the affair was not known. The financier used the banking institution as a crucial cog in his sex trafficking operations. During a period in which Epstein sexually abused teenage girls and young women, writes The Nyt, JPMorgan processed more than 4,700 transactions for him, totalling more than $1.1 billion, including payments to his victims. He also transferred his money to Russian and Eastern European banks that appeared to be connected to Epstein's sex trafficking operations. Cash is the currency of criminals, the newspaper recalls, "and JPMorgan allowed Epstein to withdraw tens of thousands of dollars a month, amounts that should have set off internal alarms. The bank also opened accounts in the names of Epstein's victims and assistants, sometimes without doing due diligence or picking up on the warning signs of human trafficking'.

The employees' accusations

.

According to The Nyt, employees had raised the alarm about how Epstein was using the bank they worked for, but their warnings went unheeded. On at least four occasions, when JP Morgan executives were informed of these concerns and learned that Epstein was allegedly under federal investigation, they decided to continue doing business with him. Several times, the bank believed the assurances of Epstein and his lawyers that he was not involved in human trafficking. At one point, Epstein was also an important source of revenue for JPMorgan's private banking division, which targets ultra-rich clients. He identified potential new clients for the bank, helped it orchestrate a major acquisition and presented it on revenue opportunities. While Epstein was serving his prison sentence in Florida for inducing a teenage girl into prostitution, he continued to advise bank executives on strategic decisions, even on how to deal with the consequences of Bernard Madoff's Ponzi scheme.

Epstein's main supporter within the bank was Jes Staley, one of its most senior executives and a trusted confidant of the bank's long-time CEO, Jamie Dimon. In 2010, Staley also had sexual relations with one of the financier's assistants. "We now know that the trust was misplaced," said Joseph Evangelisti, the bank's spokesman, stating that the bank's relationship with Epstein "was a mistake and, in hindsight, we regret it, but," he argued, "we did not help him commit his heinous crimes.
