Essilux, Italian workers' bonus of up to EUR 4,095 in June. Revenues up 10.8% in the first quarter

In their June pay packets, the 13,000 Italian Essilux workers will find a performance bonus of up to over EUR 4,000, after an agreement was reached between the multinational and Filctem CGIL, Femca Cisl, and Uiltec Uil.

The announcement of the agreement - relating to 2025 results - also bodes well for the next award, that of 2027, given the momentum with which the multinational started 2026, growing in all businesses and geographies. The first quarterly report for 2026 speaks of consolidated revenues of EUR 7,127 million, an increase of 10.8% at constant exchange rates1 compared to the first quarter of 2025 (+4.1% at current exchange rates). North America grew by 12.5% and EMEA by 9.5%, driven by the success of AI glasses and the performance of the Ray-Ban brand. China accelerated with low teen growth, driven by myopia management solutions and positive momentum in the retail business, while the myopia management solutions portfolio grew 26%, with China, the largest market, up 18%. The new Optics styles of Ray-Ban AI glasses are off to a strong start and the investment in Top Charoen strengthens the Group's retail presence in Thailand, a high-potential market, with the integration of around 2,000 shops and the Group's overall network reaching almost 20,000 shops worldwide.

The architecture of the bonus is the result of the solid system of union relations built up over the years and represents an important support for the Group's workers in Italia. With the contribution of additional components linked to individual performance, the basic bonus of EUR 3,090 gross can go up to about EUR 3,723 gross and about EUR 4,095 gross if the employee chooses to convert the amount into welfare goods and services.

The national secretaries of Filctem Cgil, Femca Cisl and Uiltec Uil, Sonia Tosoni, Raffaele Salvatoni and Livia Raffaglio, say that "the result bonus is a concrete recognition of the fundamental contribution of the workers to EssilorLuxottica's results and is, at the same time, a significant signal of attention and valorisation of work.
