EU-China: Beijing – agreement reached on trade in hybrid vehicles
China and the European Union have reached an agreement on trade in hybrid vehicles. This was announced by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, citing a joint statement issued following bilateral talks held in Beijing.
“The two sides have reached an agreement on trade in hybrid vehicles, in line with World Trade Organisation rules,” the text states, without providing further details. Brussels had hoped that Beijing would commit to voluntarily reducing its exports of hybrid vehicles.
