European Athletics Championships: Italian one-two in the shot put – gold for Fabbri and silver for Weir

An Italian one-two in the men’s shot put final at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham. Italy’s first gold medal of the European Championships in Great Britain came courtesy of Leonardo Fabbri, who dominated the event with a throw of 22.31. Silver went to Zane Weir, who took second place on the podium with a throw of 21.12.
