(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - “We will set up a new task force to aggregate energy demand.” This was announced by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, speaking before the European Parliament, which was in plenary session in Strasbourg.

"We have done this before," von der Leyen pointed out. "When Russia tried to blackmail us, we brought European buyers together. We aggregated demand. We helped to secure the supplies Europe needed. It’s a model that works. But we need to take it to the next level. We want to move beyond simply matching supply and demand to aggregating demand and appointing a market operator to carry out joint purchases.”
