Explora Journeys, the luxury lifestyle ocean travel brand of the Msc Group, becomes global partner of the 37th edition of the Louis Vuitton America's Cup. The cruise ship Explora I hosted the partnership launch event on board, held in the port of Barcelona, Spain. During the ceremony, the Msc brand announced its sponsorship of Emirates team New Zealand for the cup. This collaboration, remarked Pierfrancesco Vago, executive chairman cruise division of Mediterranean shipping company, "underlines Explora Journeys' commitment to further supporting the highest levels of competitive sailing and promoting a spirit of excellence".

Vago added that the partnership 'aligns perfectly with our deep passion for the sea. For his part, Grant Dalton, CEO of America's Cup Events and Emirates team New Zealand, added: "As the start of the 37th America's Cup approaches, these occasions remind us how the excitement is building for what will be an incredible, innovative and highly competitive spectacle here in Barcelona.
Aboard the America's Cup trophy
.Vago and Dalton then discussed competitive sailing, teamwork, passion for the sea and the future of luxury ocean travel, as well as the strategic vision behind the newly formed partnership. Emirates team New Zealand is the current holder of the America's Cup. It is also the most successful team in the recent history of the America's Cup, having won it four times (1995, 2000, 2017 and 2021).
One of the attractions of the event was the presence of the America's Cup trophy, displayed on board Explora I for the ship's guests to see. It is, in fact, one of the most coveted trophies in the world of sport.
