The Bracco Group brings art, technology and medicine of the future to the Osaka Expo. At this year's World Expo, to be held from 13 April to 13 October, Bracco Japan has in fact organised a series of scientific events, as well as a ballet performance by the La Scala Academy on the occasion of Italy's National Day at the Expo on 11 and 12 September, and an exhibition of the portrait of the young Japanese diplomat Itō Mancho, painted in 1585 by Domenico Tintoretto. The work is part of the Trivulzio Foundation Collection in Milan and depicts the head of the first Japanese diplomatic mission sent to Europe. It has not only artistic but also cultural and symbolic importance and will serve as an introduction to the tour of the entire Italian Pavilion. There will also be a video-narrative curated by the creative team of Mauro Belloni and Cromazoo with an in-depth look at the campaign of diagnostic investigations coordinated by the Bracco Foundation by the team of Professor Isabella Castiglioni. For Bracco, explains a note, art and science have always been a winning combination, and for years the Foundation has made the Group's expertise in diagnostic imaging available for the analysis and restoration of Italy's cultural heritage.
Just yesterday, the Commissioner General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka, Ambassador Mario Vattani, and Diana Bracco, President and CEO of the Bracco Group, signed a partnership agreement under which the pharmaceutical company will be the Official Gold Sponsor of the Italian Pavilion in Japan. Ambassador Vattani explained that "the agreement with the Bracco group takes on a very broad meaning thanks to the commitment on several fronts at the Italian Pavilion. Together we will collaborate on art, science and high technology, key elements that Italy intends to promote to expand and complete its image in the world in synergy with Italian companies of excellence'. Entering into the merits of the theme chosen by Italy, Art Regenerates Life, Diana Bracco emphasised that 'it represents a unique opportunity to showcase Italian excellence in the cultural, artistic, scientific and technological fields. For us, it will be an important occasion, also because Japan represents a strategic reality for Bracco: first of all, because of the widespread culture of prevention, which is very present and supported by a very advanced health service, particularly in the field of diagnostic imaging, and aimed at a very long-living population". During the Week of Health and Wellbeing (20 June-1 July), Bracco Imaging will also organise several scientific events dedicated to diagnostic imaging in its various modalities, while Centro Diagnostico Italiano, the Group's healthcare division, will take part in the Agevity Forum promoted by Assolombarda in the same period, also dedicated to Japan Health. Finally, as part of the "Fuori Expo" programme, the Bracco Foundation will take the photographic exhibition "Milan through the eyes of Leonardo" to Japan.
