From today, Monday 16 June, it is possible to apply for the ISCRO allowance for 2025. The indication was provided by the Inps in a recent message (1858 of 12 June). The extraordinary income and operating continuity allowance, known as 'ISCRO', was provided for by the Budget Law 2024 (Law 213 of 2023). It is aimed at workers enrolled in the Inps Separate Account who carry out self-employment activities on a regular basis. This solution was introduced on an experimental basis for the three-year period 2021-2023, and recognised when fully operational, from 1 January 2024.
The application deadline is 31 October
.Inps explains that as of 16 June 2025, it is possible to submit an application for the ISCRO allowance for 2025. Therefore, as of that date, the service for submitting this type of application is active again and will remain available until 31 October 2025, the deadline for submitting the ISCRO allowance application for 2025.
How to apply
.To submit an application, you need to access the "Point of access to non-pension benefits" section available on the Inps website and reachable by typing the section title in the search engine or following the path "Supports, Subsidies and Allowances" > "Esplora Sostegni, Sussidi e Indennità" > select the item "Vedi tutti" in the section "Strumenti" > "Punto d'accesso alle prestazioni non pensionistiche" > after authentication, select the item "Indennità Straordinaria di Continuità Reddituale e Operativa (ISCRO)". As an alternative to the website, the ISCRO allowance for 2025 can be requested through the integrated Contact Centre service, by calling the toll-free number 803 164 from a landline (free of charge) or the number 06 164164 from a mobile network (subject to a charge, depending on the tariff applied by the various operators).
Those who cannot apply
.The ISCRO allowance cannot be claimed in the two-year period following the year in which the benefit begins. Therefore, those who have already received the same benefit for 2024 will not be eligible for the ISCRO allowance for 2025; in this case, any applications that are submitted will be rejected by the Institute. On the other hand, applications may be usefully submitted by those who did not submit an application for 2024, as well as by those who, despite having submitted an application in the previous years, did not have access to the benefit because the application was rejected and/or the benefit was revoked from the outset.
