Borse, dividendi mondiali oltre i «rumori di fondo»: primo trimestre da record

The eye contour is one of the most sensitive areas of the face, with characteristics that make it particularly vulnerable. The skin in this area is up to four times thinner than in other areas and almost devoid of sebaceous glands, thus less protected and more exposed to external stresses. Added to this is continuous activity: every day we blink more than 10,000 times, using as many as 22 muscles that act in unison to ensure the proper functioning of the eye and good hydration of the cornea For these reasons, the eye contour requires specific attention and targeted care from the earliest stages of skin ageing. Fine lines and wrinkles, if neglected, tend to stabilise over time, turning into the classic crow's feet. Among the most common imperfections are also dark circles under the eyes, often linked to tiredness, stress, anxiety or lack of rest. Moreover, the particular reactivity of this area makes it more prone to irritation and allergies, making it essential to choose high tolerance cosmetics designed to respect the skin and reduce the risk of sensitisation and discomfort.
The value of hydrogel patches in eye skincare
A constant routine and the use of specific products can significantly affect the appearance of the eyes. "Among the most interesting solutions are the hydrogel eye contour patches, designed to offer an immediate moisturising and brightening effect," says Sabrina Bonazza, pharmacist and product director of Terme di Comano. "Their structure, rich in water, creates a sort of occlusive barrier that favours the penetration of the active ingredients and helps retain hydration, visibly improving the quality of the skin. The formula relies on ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, known for its immediate plumping and filling action, and niacinamide, which works over time on the anti-ageing front. The application gesture also plays a key role: the patches should be used on cleansed skin, after the thermal water, with rhythmic tapping movements upwards, involving both the lower and upper areas of the eye, so as to encourage fluid drainage. The advice is to apply them once or twice a week for 15-20 minutes, preferably cold, to enhance the decongestant effect. They should be used in synergy with a specific eye cream'.
Aesthetic Medical Treatments
Alongside daily cosmetics, aesthetic medicine today offers targeted treatments that can enhance and complete the care of the eye contour. "Among the most frequently used treatments is biostimulation, carried out by means of microinjections, indicated to improve the quality of the skin around the eyes," explains Eugenio Amato, specialist in integrated aesthetic medicine at Omniclinics in Bologna and Verona. "In some cases it can also help to lighten the area, thanks to the presence of hyaluronic acid. When dark circles under the eyes are particularly hollow, filler can be an effective solution, provided it is performed with products specially formulated for this area. Another option is microneedling with radiofrequency, a technology that combines micro-needling and controlled heat to stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin. The treatment improves tissue firmness, reduces inflammation and allows for faster recovery times than traditional needling. The benefits are not immediate, but build progressively over time, with a recommended cycle of three sessions about a month apart'.
