Known as 'the greatest promise ever fulfilled', Sonny Hayes was one of Formula 1's most crystalline talents in the 1990s, until an accident on the track threatened to end his career. Thirty years later, Sonny is approached by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes, the owner of a team in trouble and on the verge of bankruptcy. Ruben manages to convince Sonny to return to Formula 1 and race alongside Joshua Pearce, a talented young rookie determined to dictate his own rules within the team. This is the plot of this successful high-budget blockbuster that relies mainly on technical rewards. To be in the top ten of the best films is perhaps generous, but it is still a product that does its job thanks to a pace that remains high throughout the duration.
