Who is Fabio Napoleon

Fabio Napoleone is an experienced Italian magistrate, currently chief public prosecutor of Pavia. Throughout his career, he has held prominent positions, including that of toga advisor to the Superior Council of the Magistracy from 2014 to 2018, elected in the progressive 'Area' current . He also served as substitute public prosecutor at the Milan Court of Appeal and as chief prosecutor in Sondrio from 2008 to 2014.

Recently, Napoleone has returned to the limelight for reopening the investigation into the 2007 murder of Chiara Poggi in Garlasco.

The new investigation led to the inclusion of Andrea Sempio, a friend of the victim's brother, in the register of suspects, while Alberto Stasi, Chiara's ex-boyfriend, remains in prison with a final sentence of 16 years.

Recognition of his commitment to reviewing complex cases.

Who is Angela Taccia

Angela Taccia is anItalian lawyer known for being the lawyer of Andrea Sempio, currently under investigation for the murder of Chiara Poggi in Garlasco in 2007. In addition to her professional role, Taccia has a personal connection to Sempio, being a long-standing friend of his.

He began his legal career by practising in the office of lawyer Massimo Lovati. At the time of Sempio's first investigation, he was still a trainee and helped draft the defence documents. Over time, he took a more active role in Sempio's defence, joining Lovati as co-counsellor.

Taccia met Andrea Sempio in 2005, through his then boyfriend, a friend of both Sempio and Marco Poggi, Chiara's brother. This personal bond strengthened his determination to defend Sempio, whom he describes as 'a rare soul', 'good and kind', and whom he considers 'like a brother'.

Angela Taccia has adopted a determined defensive strategy, also using social media to publicly communicate her position. In an Instagram post on 20 May 2025, she declared: 'Tough war without fear', expressing her determination to defend Sempio.

In addition, he participated in television programmes such as 'Quarto Grado', where he pointed out that the presence of Sempio's DNA at the crime scene was not surprising, given that he habitually frequented the Poggi's house.

Taccia continues to maintain the innocence of her client, claiming that the new investigation is unfounded and that Sempio had no relationship with Chiara Poggi. Her dedication to Sempio's defence, combined with her personal relationship with him, makes Angela Taccia a central figure in the new investigation into the Garlasco murder.

What Sempio's supertestimome and mother told Hyenas

At the time of the Garlasco crime, 'I told the lawyer of the Poggi family - Gian Luigi Tizzoni, ed - that I had news about the Cappa twins. But the lawyer replied that there was already an investigation in progress on Stasi and that another track could not be superimposed'.

This was revealed by the superwitness heard by the programme Le Iene, which aired the man's audio on 20 May 2025.

His statements were collected some time ago, but before being aired they were handed over to the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office.

According to the witness, someone saw one of the Cappa twins, cousins of Chiara Poggi, carrying a heavy bag on the day of the Garlasco murder and throwing it into a ditch.

- The day before the murder of Chiara Poggi, on a Sunday, an alleged witness allegedly witnessed an argument between the victim and one of the Cappa cousins. It was reported by Daniela Ferrari, mother of Andrea Sempio, the 37-year-old man who is the only suspect in the new investigation by the Pavia Public Prosecutor's Office into the Garlasco murder, to an envoy from the TV programme Le Iene, which broadcast the recording on Italia 1 on 20 May 2025.

The alleged witness, tracked down by the Iene correspondent, denied ever having said such a thing, but Mrs. Ferrari - contacted by the programme before the investigation into her son became public - insists: 'I heard her say it,' she says, pointing out, however, that the alleged witness did not speak about it with the Carabinieri or anyone else.

Who is Gian Luigi Tizzoni

Gian Luigi Tizzoni is an Italian lawyer known for being the lawyer for the family of Chiara Poggi. Since the beginning of the case, Tizzoni has represented the victim's parents, Rita and Giuseppe Poggi, becoming a central figure in the long judicial process that led to the final conviction of Alberto Stasi, Chiara's ex-boyfriend, to 16 years imprisonment. Tizzoni followed all stages of the trial, firmly upholding Stasi's guilt.

Regarding the recent reopening of the investigation, which led to the inclusion in the register of suspects of Andrea Sempio, a friend of Chiara's brother, Tizzoni expressed scepticism, describing these developments as a 'déjà-vu' and emphasising that 'there is not an inch of this affair that has not been explored' .

The lawyer criticised the reopening of the investigation as an attempt to exonerate Stasi and find an alternative perpetrator. He reiterated that, according to past sentences, Stasi did not have an alibi and there were seven serious elements against him.
