L'Aquila Court of Appeal confirms suspension of parental responsibility for family in the woods
The court maintained the placement of the three minors in a protected facility in Vasto, with their mother present only at limited times
The Court of Appeal of L'Aquila rejected the lawyers' complaint against the order of the Juvenile Court of L'Aquila that had suspended Nathan and Catherine's parental responsibility and ordered the placement of their three minor children in a family home in Vasto.
Here, however, is also the mother, who can be with the children at certain times of the day. For thefamily in the woods the situation remains, therefore, as per the order that led to the children's transfer from Palmoli to Vasto on 20 November.
Let us recall the ages of the three children: the eldest is 8 years old, the twins, a boy and a girl, are 6 years old and were all born in Teramo, where their mother Catherine, an Australian, and father Nathan, an Englishman, moved years ago, before moving here four years ago.
Salvini: children must live with parents
"For these judges only one word: shame. Children are not the property of the State, children must be able to live and grow with the love of mum and dad!" Thus the deputy prime minister and leader of the League, Matteo Salvini, on X after the appeal of the family in the Palmoli forest, in the province of Chieti, was rejected.
