Fascist chants in Fdi headquarters, Parma Public Prosecutor's Office opens a file

The Prosecutor's Office of Parma has opened a file on the case of fascist chants in the city headquarters of Fratelli d'Italia, witnessed by videos circulated on social media. "It is a model 45, there is no crime hypothesised yet," explains chief prosecutor Alfonso D'Avino. "We are still in the exploratory phase on the basis of the news learned from the press.

The Digos of the Questura di Parma is investigating the matter. 'Now we have to verify whether the fact is true and ascertain whether it could turn into a criminal offence'. At this stage, there are no persons entered in the register of suspects.

In the meantime, the case is the subject of political controversy. "It is a very serious fact. We are waiting to hear a distancing from the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Or maybe she will keep silent this time too? Who knows," commented the secretary of the PD Elly Schlein, on the sidelines of an electoral initiative in Fisciano, in the province of Salerno.

"With us, those who do wrong pay, on the left, I don't know. National Youth immediately intervened to commission the Parma federation autonomously and well before the video was published and circulated in the media. With us, there is no room for nostalgia for totalitarianism,' was the reply from Fdi Giovanni Donzelli, the organisational manager of Fdi.
