Fashion takes centre stage at the Lectures on Contemporary Creativity in Rome
Alessandro Sartori (Zegna), Antonio and Patrizia Marras, and Lucia Silvestri (Bvlgari) were the guests of honour at the three events held at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, where they shared their stories, visions and projects
How is a dress created? How does a piece of jewellery take shape? How can a designer’s vision and aesthetic be reconciled with the public’s desires and the changing market? And how can fashion and design address the major contemporary challenges, from sustainability to the international dimension? These are some of the questions at the heart of the three events in the new series of Lessons in Contemporary Creativity, promoted by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity within the Department for Cultural Activities of the Ministry of Culture and by the Fondazione Musica per Roma, in collaboration with the De Sanctis Foundation, which will bring together diverse experiences and approaches, united by their ability to transform research, culture, local context and intuition into projects and products recognised worldwide.
The 2026 edition is dedicated to the relationship between contemporary creativity, design, fashion and cultural and creative enterprises, and from 30 October onwards will feature a series of events with some of the sector’s leading figures at the Teatro Studio Borgna in Rome’s Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone.
The series kicks off with Alessandro Sartori, creative director of Zegna, who will share his creative vision on Friday 30 October at 7.30 pm. The second event takes place on Saturday 14 November, again at 7.30 pm, featuring Antonio and Patrizia Marras, a couple both in creativity and in life, who will share their stories and projects. This will be followed, on Friday 20 November at the same time, by a talk with Lucia Silvestri, Jewellery Creative and Gems Buying Director at Bvlgari. The three events will be moderated by Chiara Beghelli, a journalist from *Il Sole 24 Ore*.
The programme for the event and all the details are available on the Auditorium’s website.
