Fratelli d'Italia is first in four out of five constituencies with the Democratic Party prevailing, albeit by a whisker, in the South thanks to the push from Puglia and Campania and elsewhere it is always second, except in the Islands where Forza Italia hitches the FDI allies. The main majority party is first in all the regions, except Tuscany, Emilia Romagna , Campania and Apulia - where the primacy goes to the force led by Elly Schlein - and Sicilia: here, however, the first place goes to the Azzurri.
The island, together with Campania and Trentino Alto Adige are the regions that have rewarded FdI less than the national figure of 28.8%. The PD is the first party in Milan and Naples (in the Campania capital almost ex aequo with M5S). In Rome, Meloni's city, Fdi is first with 29%. This is the picture of the results of the European elections in the territorial breakdown.
In Lombardy, Fdi's leap
.In the North-West Constituency there is the largest margin that Fdi puts between itself and the Democratic pursuers: 30.9% against 23.5% with a difference of 7.4 points. In Lombardy, Fratelli d'Italia makes a leap forward, the Pd is confirmed in second place and the League remains third party, with Forza Italia rebounding and the "surprise" Alleanza Verdi Sinistra touching 7% and overtaking the 5-Star Movement. Everything has changed since the 2019 European elections when the League was first party with 43.38% and Fratelli d'Italia at 5.53%. Now the premier's party (thanks also to its 379,253 preferences) is first with 31.79% of the vote, the League is third with 13.10%. The Pd holds second place with 22.63% of the vote (it was 23.08 five years ago) and Forza Italia rises to fourth place with 9.31%, bypassing the Five Star Movement, which drops from 9.34 to 5.67 and is also behind the Green Left Alliance with 6.78%.
Fratelli d'Italia also flies in Piemonte with 30.44%: a five-fold growth in the region compared to the result (6%) of 2019, and more than double in Turin city (22%) in the comparison with the 2021 municipal elections (10.47%). The Pd is the second most voted party in the Region: 22.95%, down by one point compared to the 2019 European elections; the Dem decline is stronger in Turin, where however it remains the first party, at 29.84%: five years ago at the European elections it had obtained 33.47%, but there is a recovery of more than one point compared to the October 2021 Municipal elections (28.56%). The League collapses from 37.1% in 2019 to 10.30%. Forza Italia rises to 9.9%, up from 9.1% five years ago. M5s gives up over 5 points and is at 8% and narrowly avoids being overtaken by Avs, which comes in at 7.52%.
The movement led by Giuseppe Conte holds third position in Liguria (its founder Beppe Grillo's region) with 10.2 per cent.
