Federchimica and Its Academy agreement for new training projects in the sector
The agreement strengthens the link between the education system and the national production fabric. Buzzella: 'A significant step to enhance the talent of our young people and guarantee companies the necessary skills of excellence'
To boost the development of skills in chemistry, Federchimica, the National Federation of the Chemical Industry, and the ITS Academy Foundations in the Chemistry and New Life Technologies area have signed a new agreement for the development of training projects. The president of Federchimica, Francesco Buzzella, sees it as "a significant step towards enhancing the talent of our young people and guaranteeing companies the skills of excellence they need to successfully tackle the technological and environmental transition. Supporting the ITS Academy with conviction means investing in the future and in competitiveness, consolidating a solid bridge between the school benches and the industrial world, capable of offering concrete, stable and high-quality employment prospects".
Considering that the percentage of ITS Academy graduates with a work contract 12 months after graduation is 84%, with a consistency between study path and type of employment of 93%, thanks also to the fact that half of the teaching hours are entrusted to the companies themselves, this project in particular envisages the activation of a constant channel of communication between ITS Academy and companies, to monitor training needs, also in the light of the green and digital challenges that increasingly characterise the sector. This makes it possible to train professionals with specific and up-to-date skills, ready to successfully enter the chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnological fields. Through this collaboration, the signatory parties have also committed to improving orientation activities in order to attract young talents towards highly innovative paths, also contributing to make the training offer more uniform and structured throughout Italy.
